![]() ![]() ![]() Now I just need to remember to put 30_os-prober back to its original place when, or before, I do any further grub updating. If I hit Linux Mint & Lite, I get Mint's grub screen, now with the choice of those two options and no redundant listings. On boot I get the Windows bootloader offering those two. EasyBCD now has two listings, Windows 7 and Linux Mint & Lite. So it's all good, and now tidier and simpler. I still have the original Windows bootloader and Win7 is still listed as an option from the outset in EasyBCD. Loss of these latter two is no problem as of course I don't need to get to them via Grub. The two non-working entries for LL have gone - as have the entries for Win7 and Windows Recovery. and the one entry for Description: Linux Lite 2.6 which works. This now contains only Linux Mint 17.3, and its Advanced options, and the two memtests. Sure enough, it re-did Mint's grub boot menu. So I went ahead and put 30_os-prober into a saved file in /etc/grub.d, then hit sudo update-grub. Well, I thought I might as well go down to the wire on this. ![]()
